Local art, design and handmade objects under one roof

Casa Marea works like a concept store crossed with a craft studio, mixing local art, handmade pieces and design objects instead of scattering them across separate shops. It's across from Islander Coffee on Seymour and Fragata.

The team seeded Puerto Ayora with QR-coded stickers early on, pointing people back to the physical shop rather than chasing followers online. Worth a browse if you want a souvenir that isn't a magnet.

I loved it 🩵!!! I'd take the whole store home; there are several brands, and they're all local! It's beautiful because you can find all sorts of crafts that you won't find anywhere else on the island! They offer really lovely workshops, and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

One of my favorite shops in Puerto Ayora. They have a great selection of handmade items, artwork, and gifts from local artists, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for something truly unique, whether as a gift or for yourself, it’s definitely worth a stop.

Ale at Casa Marea helped me pick out a couple of gifts (a beautifully embroidered hand towel and framed wall hanging) and even wrapped them for me. It was exactly what I was looking for and I love that they were designed and made in Ecuador. Definitely recommend checking out the store if you’re looking for gifts for others or souvenirs for yourself!

BEST place for gifts and souvenirs in Galápagos. Unlike some other shops in Galápagos that sadly import everything from China, everything in Casa Marea is made by artisans and local Galapagos/Ecuadorian makers. They have a big range from jewellery to place mats, mugs, beautiful prints, other art pieces, clothing, recycled plastic art, and so much more. They even do art workshops for kids! A must visit when you’re in Galápagos.
