Puerto Ayora's late-night constant, upstairs on Darwin

Bongo sits on the second floor of a building on Avenida Darwin, and it's still the default answer to "where's everyone going tonight." Salsa nights pull dancers onto a floor that's really just cleared bar space, and the crowd mixes boat crew off duty, dive instructors and tourists who wandered up the stairs on a tip from their hotel.

It isn't trying to be anything more than what it is. A bar that opens most nights until 2am, with live music often enough you should just expect it.
