ØY Rest

Wine pairings built around the morning catch
ØY treats wine as the whole point, not the side act. The kitchen cooks whatever the boats bring in that morning, and pairing drives the menu instead of following it.
The room is small on purpose. The owners call it "calidad" over volume, a wine bar first and a restaurant second. Breakfast and dinner only, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which keeps sourcing tight and rules out anyone just squeezing in a quick lunch between tours.

We had the yellow fin tartare and it was delicious and had a very soft and citrus flavor. My husband had the fried cod and really enjoyed it. It was light and flaky. The owner was super friendly and welcoming. He knows food and wine. He suggested great wines for our dishes. We also tried half of both desserts and they were original and flavorful! Great experience

This has been my favorite restaurant in Ecuador so far. I would argue the best! Everything is super delicious, I came back again and ordered even more. I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed!

We stopped by bcoz someone suggested. Off the beaten path, what a beautiful restaurant! And the food and service is outstanding. Vegetarian dishes made out of typical non-veg menu (replacing chicken or fish with soy). The attention to detail of every plate prepared is perfect. Open kitchen shows what is being made. Great choice of music makes the atmosphere great. Open windows seating makes the indoors and outdoors the same. All in all, 5 out of 5 stars.

Great kombucha! Came in for new years! Amazing small plates, great wine and food pairings. The open windows and layout are very cozy. However, service can take a second, so come here when you have a minute to relax

Delicious breakfast with more international influences rather than traditional Ecuadorian food. The place has cozy vibes and feels like a good spot to work a bit on your laptop. It’s quite small, so I’d avoid peak hours if you’re planning to stay longer. Came for breakfast and noticed they also have a good wine selection. It might be the best place for a wine on the island seeing their selection. We ordered the huevos rancheros and eggs with garlic sauce — both were delicious. The garlic sauce really had a strong, proper garlic flavor, which I loved. Service was amazing. Portions are a bit on the smaller side, but the quality of the food is very good
