Tea blends and salted chocolate inside a Downtown heritage house
Downtown Cairo is not known for quiet, but Tchaï is. Tucked inside Tamara Haus on Gawad Hosny, it's become the room the city's creative crowd books for breakfast, over signature tea blends and salted chocolates.
It's not only a teahouse, either. Tchaï has hosted a live tuna cutting ceremony with The Cannery and an eight-course dinner for Cairo Food Week. Book ahead if you want a table for breakfast.

With respect to the food, If there was a better more descriptive word than magnificent I would use it. It was beyond excellent! Service was excellent and the atmosphere was so comfortable...I will definitely make Tchaï my new "go-to " place for meeting friends and conduct business meetings.

every detail feels intentional, from the quality of the ingredients to the inventivity of the cuisine, to the service and atmosphere. nothing is too much, nothing is missing. so much care in every corner. my little pocket of serenity in cairo 🤍🍵

The place is lovely, and the outdoor seating has a really nice, cozy vibe. But the prices are quite high, and the desserts come in very small portions. It’s more about the atmosphere than anything else.

Very nice little gem hidden in this building. The food portions are clearly on the small side but delicious so if you don’t mind the price it’s definitely a great spot.
