Almaza Bay's Japanese cocktail bar, now docked at Fanadir Marina.
Megumi opened at Almaza Bay on the North Coast in 2022, then added a second room at El Gouna's Fanadir Marina in 2024. Chef Tarek Allamedine keeps the menu to sushi and small bites, built to pair with beverage director Walid Merhi's cocktail list rather than stand alone as a full dinner.
It closes for the off-season and reopens each summer, so hours shift year to year: check Instagram before making a special trip. During El Gouna Film Festival in October, Megumi has hosted the CineGouna opening reception.

We have been dining at Meguimi since it opened, and yesterday was by far my best experience so far! The food was excellent. We ordered a multitude of dishes, and every single one was absolutely top-notch. The staff was also very friendly, professional, and helpful. A special thanks to our waiter, Mohamed, for going the extra mile and accommodating my unique request. Highly recommended for anyone in El Gouna looking for a fine dining experience!

I would like to share my recent experience at Megumi, which truly left a lasting impression Starting with the food, both the beef tataki and the gyoza were among the best I’ve had perfectly prepared and full of flavor. What truly made this visit exceptional, however, was the level of care and hospitality shown by the team. During my visit, I unfortunately twisted my ankle and, by the end of the night, was struggling to walk. Two staff members, Mohamed Mousha and Mostafa Mohamed, went above and beyond to assist me. They even reached out to their friend Abdallah, who kindly brought my car from where I had parked on the other side and quite a distance away—to the nearest entrance. This thoughtful gesture made a difficult situation much easier, and I’m incredibly grateful for their support. I can’t thank you enough for such genuine hospitality. Thank you,
