Gondar's only real bookstore, between castle and church.

How many bookstores does a castle town need? Gondar has about one, and this is it. Mega Bookstore sits in Piassa on the walk between the castle compound and Debre Berhan Selassie church, so you pass it anyway.

The shelves run Amharic literature, textbooks and stationery rather than tourist stock. Still, a map or phrasebook makes sense if you're staying more than a day or two. In a retail scene built on cafes and gift shops, a bookshop is its own event.
