Lagoon-front French-Polynesian dining near Vaitape

No resort wristband needed here, just a table on Helen's Bay with the lagoon right in front of you. The kitchen runs French technique through Polynesian ingredients, so poisson cru and tapas sit next to whatever reef fish the boats brought in that day.

It's a short walk from downtown Vaitape and open breakfast through dinner, closed only Sundays. The happy hour draws locals as much as tourists, and the wine list leans on the cellar and pastry shop next door.
