Organic wine in what used to be a family garage

Garage Wines pours organic and biodynamic Georgian wine out of what used to be a family garage on Giorgi Mazniashvili Street. The concrete floor and walls are still exposed, alongside a short menu of cheese and wild tea.

Gallery nights and informal live sets run through the summer. Regulars order the cheese board pairing without even checking the menu.

We stumbled upon this tiny, unique, and incredibly cosy wine bar, and it quickly became one of our favourite spots. The selection of local natural wines is excellent, with something for every taste. The owner is passionate and very knowledgeable, taking the time to recommend wines based on your preferences. Even better, you can taste a few before deciding on a glass. The wine bar has a fascinating history—it used to be a car repair garage, and they’ve embraced that heritage with a fun automotive theme. The garage atmosphere gives the place a lot of character, and even some of the wines playfully continue the “garage” concept. If you’re looking for a relaxed, authentic place to discover great local wines, this is definitely worth a visit.
