A wonderfully surprising first experience with Korean cuisine! Yesterday, the four of us went for dinner at the Korean restaurant Bom in Aachen. It was our first experience with Korean cuisine, and we were very pleasantly surprised. From the beginning, we received a warm welcome and were given a lot of information about the different dishes. The staff guided us very well in making our choices, which was especially helpful for us as first-time visitors to Korean cuisine. Two of us chose the vegan tofu menu, while the other two opted for the pork tenderloin menu. Everything was absolutely delicious and very well balanced. We found the cuisine to be pure, light and refined. The dishes were also easy to digest, which we really appreciated. The wine was another pleasant surprise. We enjoyed an Italian wine, which may not be the most obvious choice with Korean cuisine, but it paired perfectly with the dishes. We had nothing to complain about regarding the pork tenderloin menu: it was delicious, well presented and more than enough. For the tofu menu, however, the portion was perhaps a little small for someone with a bigger appetite. Personally, I think an extra bowl of rice would have been a great addition. In terms of value for money, Bom is definitely worth recommending. If you are in Aachen and would like to try something different, we highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Authentic Korean food. I've eaten at Bom twice now and can highly recommend it. Finally, you don't have to travel all the way to Düsseldorf anymore. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Each dish of our five-course meal was explained to us, and the banchan (Korean flatbreads) are truly delicious. You can taste that everything is handmade. The set menu is recommended if you're not yet very familiar with Korean cuisine. They also have a lunch menu with classic dishes, such as jumullok. I had that on my second visit. Very well-seasoned beef in a soy sauce-based marinade, slightly sweet in flavor, with various ssam vegetables. Thank you! I'll definitely be back.

I’ve visited this restaurant twice recently, and both times were fantastic. The 4-course menu was outstanding- it reminded me of a Michelin-starred restaurant, but at a much more affordable price. The food was exceptional, and the service was warm, attentive, and professional. I’ll definitely be back!
