The scissors and mirrors are long gone: this Venloer Straße spot used to be a hairdresser's, now converted into a minimalist mid-century room aimed squarely past the Belgian Quarter's usual student crowd. Entry is free all night, every night.

Early evening plays it straight, just drinks and conversation. Later on the lights dim and the room tips toward dancing instead.

A really delicious ice cream parlor, perfectly functioning air conditioning, very friendly staff, and a cool design. Even the small menu is well-chosen, and everything is highly recommended. We tried it and will be back. The bar is also inviting in the evenings, offering good wines, aperitifs, and cocktails.

Exactly what Cologne was missing! Well-dressed people, great DJs playing house, Afro house, R&B, hip hop, and Afrobeats. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive and really do their best, even when the place is packed. You can tell the menu was thoughtfully and lovingly curated, especially the selection of wines. When the weather is nice, you can relax outside, and inside there's a good-sized dance floor. I felt comfortable here, will definitely come back, and don't understand the negative comments, as this place offers the complete opposite of the clientele found on the Ringe.

A truly beautiful and impressive bar! The stylish and contemporary decor invites lively conversation and makes you feel instantly at ease. The drinks are truly special and offer excellent value for money. The service at this bar deserves special mention. The bar staff are always quick to respond and shine with friendliness and helpfulness. A definite 10/10 for this place. I always enjoy coming back :)

I've been to Friendsclub several times now and honestly can't understand all the negative comments. Especially regarding the supposed criticism of the dress code – on the evenings I've been there, I've always found the crowd to be very open, relaxed, and respectful. You don't feel judged, but simply welcome. The atmosphere is fantastic! It's the perfect mix of a relaxed get-together and great energy for dancing. The music is varied and simply fun, whether you just want to relax with a drink or hit the dance floor later. The drinks are consistently excellent, as are the snacks. I have to especially commend the wine list – it's really well curated. AND the tiramisu is simply world-class. I enjoy coming here with both colleagues and friends – it's perfect for unwinding, chatting, or just having a really great evening. For me, it's definitely a place I'll always want to return to.
