Bar Chroma opened at Gutleutstraße 17 at the end of March 2025, hidden behind heavy velvet curtains in the Bahnhofsviertel.

Quy Long Tran, formerly a bartender at Kinly Bar, keeps the cocktail menu small and ambitious, leaning on Asian-inspired drinks in a room built for hospitality and talk rather than spectacle.

I was at Bar Chroma in Frankfurt last week and had a really great experience. The drinks were excellent — very well balanced and creative without being overcomplicated. The dessert menu was especially interesting in a good way, with unique combinations that actually worked beautifully. I ordered the omakase, and it was also fantastic — thoughtful, refined, and full of nice surprises. Overall, a very enjoyable evening with strong flavors and a clear concept. Definitely worth a visit.

Bar Chroma is such an experience when it comes to enjoy coctail vibes. You can feel it through their menu concept. Everyone is so professional. If you are after good time, good taste and atmosphere, go for it.

Atmosphere: 7.5/10 Located in Frankfurt’s Bahnhofsviertel district, Bar Chroma has a cool, artsy interior with minimalist design. Anthracite walls, pop art prints, and a mix of modern and vintage furniture give the space a creative but relaxed feel. Music volume is just right. The backbar is average and not a highlight. Drinks: 8.5/10 Recommendation: Kong The drinks are tasty. Big selection on a minimalist menu. Nice coasters, above average glassware, simple garnish and presentation. Everything works well without being flashy. Service: 8/10 Water served on arrival. Staff is polite and efficient. No reservations needed. Prices are slightly above average for Frankfurt, but still reasonable for the quality.
