A café that spills into a shop of ceramics and natural wine

Grab a coffee up front and keep walking. The room opens into shelves stacked with ceramics, silk lampshades, skincare and natural wine, mostly from independent makers rather than distributors. Small runs of art and jewellery fill the gaps.

Hoa and Bao named it after an old French word for exuberant joy. Eppendorf usually means prams and Sunday brunch, so this is one of the rare spots built for the under-forty crowd instead.

Good to know

The room is also let out for events and DJ nights, so check what is on if you want it quiet.
Coffee is by Playground, and there is a separate matcha programme.

A lovingly owner-operated concept store with excellent coffee. This time we went for the Bánh Mì – and it was by far the best we've ever had. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.

Beautifully decorated with a peaceful atmosphere. A perfect place to unwind, work, or spend time with friends. The matcha was absolutely delicious. The cake was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the texture was unbeatable! I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again :)
