Skip the line entirely. This Pick&Go store on the Lister Meile is Germany's seventh cashierless REWE, where ceiling cameras track what you take and bill you automatically once you walk out the door.

The roughly 650-square-meter shop still has a bake off counter and salad bar alongside the tech novelty. It took over a longtime neighborhood Rewe run by local operator Wucherpfennig, so the format is the real news on an otherwise ordinary shopping street.
