Dublin's hotel brand lands in Munich, biggest house yet

The Dean's first Irish exit outside its Berlin launch, and its biggest property anywhere. It took over the old Roomers Munich on Landsberger Straße 68 and reopened with 281 rooms, London designer Tatjana von Stein handling the interiors.

There's a restaurant, a bar, a second bar that's hidden, and a wellness floor. But the real pick is the neighbourhood: Westend, a working district of old brewery buildings and artists' studios west of the Theresienwiese, not the Altstadt postcard spot hotel brands usually chase.

I stayed at the hotel the other day, the Ibasho restaurant was a great discovery, rich menu and great service. The gym space is impressive. I also enjoyed the evening atmosphere and music across the lobby and bars, the hotel reopened recently but staff is really helpful and was able to assist me in numerous instances

Amazing lifestyle hotel. Beautiful new renovation under Dean brand. Location perfect for Oktoberfest - very short walk. Will stay again for sure.

Overall a good stay and the room was clean. However, there was no chair in the room, and the bathroom door was missing a proper handle. Some rooms are a bit tricky to reach. Also, no mustard was provided with the Bavarian breakfast. On the plus side, the bar area is nice, and I heard spa access is included in the price.
