Parisian pâtisserie, restaurant and bar facing Lizzy Sports Complex
The croissants are the reason everyone brings a camera to Café Clair. They get talked about more than anything else on the menu, and the pink, marble-look room in East Legon has become one of the neighborhood's most photographed breakfast spots.
Book ahead for brunch. The tables facing the Lizzy Sports Complex windows fill first, and weekend hours run later than weekdays.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars – An Experience That Exceeded Every Expectation I just had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Claire in East Legon, opposite Lizzy Sports Complex, near the CAM Museum, and I have to say—I was genuinely impressed. From the moment you walk in, you almost forget you’re in Ghana. The atmosphere has an elegant international feel, like something you’d expect to find in Canada, the United States, or Europe. The interior is beautifully designed, the ambiance is warm and sophisticated, and every detail reflects quality. One thing that stood out immediately was the professionalism of the staff. The waiters are impeccably dressed, carrying themselves with the kind of class and confidence you’d expect at a high-end establishment. Their service was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely professional. A special thank you to Daniel, who made the experience even better. We had a wonderful conversation, and his hospitality and positive energy were exceptional. The supervisor and the entire management team deserve recognition for creating such a welcoming environment. If they continue operating at this standard, I have no doubt Cafe Claire will become one of Accra’s premier dining destinations. Now, let’s talk about the food. I ordered the stuffed sausage with toast, and it was absolutely delicious. The presentation, taste, and portion size were excellent, especially considering the price of GH₵125. I paired it with their tea for GH₵35, and I loved that it came in a kettle, enough for three to four cups, along with sugar sachets to enjoy at your own pace. It made for a relaxing and complete dining experience. My total bill came to approximately GH₵168, including taxes, and honestly, I left thinking they are charging less than what the experience is truly worth. Between the premium atmosphere, outstanding service, and high-quality food, the value for money is exceptional. If you’re in Accra—whether you’re a local, an expatriate, or part of the diaspora looking for a refined place to dine or meet friends—I highly recommend Cafe Claire. It delivers a world-class experience without the world-class price tag. For me, it’s an easy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5 stars. If there were a way to give more than five stars, I honestly would. Keep up the fantastic work, Cafe Claire. I’ll definitely be back.

Café Claire is easily one of my favourite places to unwind. The ambience is warm, elegant, and consistently inviting, making it perfect whether you’re catching up with friends, working, or simply enjoying a quiet meal. One thing they always get right is the music, it’s thoughtfully curated and creates the perfect atmosphere every time I visit. The customer service is equally impressive; the staff are welcoming, attentive, and genuinely make you feel valued. If you’re looking for a café with great vibes, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere, Café Claire is definitely worth a visit. A special mention to Afia, Jessica, and Benedicta they are simply amazing. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality make every visit even more enjoyable. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience, and their exceptional customer service is a big part of what keeps me coming back.

I tried the turkey and cheese (smashed) croissant. It was so good. I also tried 2 of their chocolate cakes they were rich and decadent. I really advise visiting this place. It has a calm and classy ambience.

I love the District Managemeny group, all of their restaurants are good and Cafe Clair did not disappoint. My latte was so good, the strawberry cream croissant was 10/10 and all of our food was good. Very sexy dessert case 😋

Edit: (I am changing my rating to 5 stars. My earlier rating was mainly influenced by the coffee, while the overall place, atmosphere, and service deserve better.) I feel that is is not fair to call a place Cafe when you don't know how to make proper coffee. The cappuccino tasted like milk with a tiny hint of milo. I didn't like it at all. The late art is clearly fake and the milk foam is not real, just air bubbles (wrong machine used). The atmosphere is very nice and the staff are friendly. This place has a big potential if they fire the current barista and hire the right one. Very small investment that will yield enormous returns. You have already spent all the money on the setup, don't cheap out on the right talent, you will end up paying the price in less business, or in never repeat customers.
