The square outside PAF is one of the few in central Athens where the tables still belong to the neighbourhood, not the tourists. Pull up a chair on Plateia Varnava and watch Pangrati go about its evening.
The kitchen splits its attention between pizza and the aperitivo hour before it, so the smart move is to order a spritz first and eat once the crowd thins. It worked well enough that the same team opened a summer rooftop version on Kolokotroni downtown.

This is a cute little cafe. The music was good vibes and the service was great as well. Stopped in for a quick coffee and pastry. Will go back to try the pizza. Worth a stop if in the area.
