Mezedopoleio with a passport, on Megalou Alexandrou
Small shared plates, but the references wander far past Greece. Meigma treats the mezedopoleio as a format rather than a fixed menu, and the name literally means mixture.
This stretch of Kerameikos past Metaxourgeio has been Athens' most active restaurant frontier for a few years now. Meigma sits right where most of that action is happening, on Megalou Alexandrou.

We had three days in Athens. A friend in recommended Meigma and told us to speak with Dino. We went on a Tuesday evening and are so glad we did. Dino treated us like long lost friends. He walked us through the mezzes and recommended delicious wine pairings with the dishes and I have to say that it was one of the best meals we ever had after spending three weeks in various parts of Greece. And that is saying a lot. Please visit this place, every bite was scrumptious and we left full and happy. Thank you Dino! Just amazing.

So let's start... Very, very good food! almost fair prices for that quality of food & taste. A simple central spot in Athens, no music ( at least outside where I sat during my visit ) with nice & interesting customers... for sure I fully recommend it and I will visit it again... their bread and their own oil are a "sin" 👍❤️🙏

As a pescatarian there were so many choices and the food was great. I loved the roasted pumpkin, the calamari and dakos with watermelon. Even the bread and cocktails were amazing (ask for the spicy margarita). The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

One of the best restaurants we visited during our stay in Athens. The food was fantastic, tasty and original. Great Greek and natural wines, chosen with the very good guidance of our friendly waiter. Nice location as well, with a hip vibe. A must do!
