Twelve dishes, no more, in Koukaki

Why stop at twelve? Because Dodeka Piata means it: the menu holds twelve plates, changed rather than added to. It's a modern taverna, so the reference points are familiar even when the plating isn't.

The short list means the kitchen cooks everything often, and it shows. It sits a few doors from several other recent Koukaki openings, and this is the one to pick if you want to eat rather than graze.

Final night in Athens we ate here and the food did not disappoint. The ambience was so lovely as well in the early evening. Would definitely come again. Staff super sweet with excellent recommendations of the menu

Amazing food! Some dishes are a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. The wine list is interesting, with focus on Greek wines. Also the desserts were delicious, especially the walnut pie, which was a slice of heaven!!

One of the best meals I have eaten in Athens. We are local to this place and this is the best taverna in the area by far.

Delicious food in a nice place. Top dishes outside Skirt, Seasonal greens and fried potatoes with Organic Eggs. Dessert orange pie and Ice cream vanilla without sugar just amazing! Well recommended!
