Chef Kostas Axioti pairs things you wouldn't expect: barley risotto finished with tourti and a soy glaze, beef filet with wild mushrooms, charcoal-grilled picanha topped with raisins. Owl sits on Riga Feraiou, one of the busiest strips in central Patras for evening tables.

Most of its wine-bar neighbors only wake up at night. Owl runs brunch from 8am too, which is rare on this stretch. The name nods to kokouvagia, the Greek word for owl.
