A pasta bar near Árpád Bridge with a lunch-only pasta service

Cinquecento opened in January 2026 on Zsilip utca, out past Újlipótváros towards Árpád Bridge, in a part of the thirteenth district that has very little of this kind. Pasta is made in house and the pasta menu runs at lunch.

The evening service shifts to a wider Italian card. The area is residential and office-heavy, so the weekday lunch trade is what the room was built for.

Nice little italian restaurant for a quick lunch! The place has 3 new pasta variations every day, which I think is amazing. The one I had (green pea sauce) was really rich and tasty! Definately something I never had before. The take away cutlery is the only thing I found unusual but I've been explained ti's part of the concept and in the end it didn't bother me that much. And since the portions are huge I ended up taking away half the pasta any way! Can definately recommend!

One of Budapest’s most talked about pasta spots, this Italian owned restaurant is located in the office district, making it an excellent choice for a quick business lunch or an early dinner. The atmosphere is casual, the staff are welcoming and the fresh pasta is made daily, with seasonal specials rotating regularly. The quality is undeniably excellent, but despite what some TikTok videos might suggest, this isn’t a budget friendly pasta spot. Prices are comparable to other good Italian restaurants in the city. One thing to note is that every dish is served in a paper takeaway box, even if you’re dining in, which may not appeal to everyone. The absolute must order is Pomodoro & Stracciatella Premium. The rich, vibrant tomato sauce pairs beautifully with the creamy stracciatella, creating a simple yet incredibly satisfying dish that lets authentic Italian flavors shine. That said, not every pasta was a success. Crema di Ceci was unfortunately disappointing. Dry, powdery and lacking the smooth, creamy texture we’d expect from a chickpea based sauce. It’s the one dish we’d skip on our next visit. For dessert, I highly recommend their Tiramisu. It’s beautifully balanced, with delicate layers of espresso soaked ladyfingers and light, velvety mascarpone cream. It’s rich without being overly sweet, making it the perfect way to finish the meal. Overall, while some dishes are far more memorable than others, the concept is fantastic and the quality of the fresh pasta is evident. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of their daily and seasonal specials.🍝

Outstandig, unique place, close to city centre with M3 10ish minutes. Worth checking it out. Free lemon water, italian vibes lots of flowers and greens inside. The pasta is awesome, ingredients from italy and italian chef, we had bolognese it’s super nice very deep flavors but so light on the stomach you can walk and hike right after while you grab a free lemon water for takeaway. Very much recomending this cool place, definetely visit 🇮🇹🍝👑
