Erhardt runs a restaurant, a guesthouse and its own bakery from a converted house on Balfi utca, just east of the old town wall. The kitchen reworks local Sopron classics and plates them with more care than the region is used to, backed by a wine list that leans on nearby producers.

It's the name locals give when you ask where to eat properly in town, and the Gault&Millau guide agrees. The bakery next door means the bread and pastries are made in-house rather than bought in.

We did not stay there. We died on the terrace on a Saturday evening in July. The food and service were excellent. The ambiance was great. The customers there were very eclectic, from many different countries. We could not find any fault with anything, and will definitely return. It is a first class and friendly restaurant, with very competitively priced dishes and a very high standard of customer service. We highly recommend the Fatanyeros to anyone who loves great meat and who has a good appetite.

I spent two days in Sopron and stayed at this Panzio. It is centrally located, modern, clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. The restaurant is amazing! I’ve eaten serval times, and each meal exceeded my expectations. Did I mention they have their own bakery next door? You will not be disappointed if you book a nights stay or dine in their restaurant.
