Steaks off a Josper charcoal oven

Sigurður Ágústsson and Birta Jónsdóttir run the kitchen at Krisp, where a Josper charcoal oven does the heavy lifting. Steaks come off it with a proper char, and salads and lighter plates fill out the rest of the menu.

It's one of the better rated dinner spots in Selfoss, the kind of place for a serious plate of meat. Book ahead if you're coming on a weekend.

Amazing fresh chicken salad. Not the best picture, but taste so good.

Really enjoyed our meals here. I had some salmon. Place had a nice atmosphere with a very nice waitress.

One of the best burgers we’ve had in Iceland. The flatbread was amazing and so were the desserts.

Service was the slowest I’ve experienced in a while, without reason. The restaurant was not busy and the person taking care of our table was standing around on their phone. We waited over 30 minutes for someone to come back to our area and asked to see a menu to order desserts. Another long while passed before we decided to pay and leave without ordering dessert. One person had the lamb, broccoli, and baked potato. Lamb was definitely well done when it was ordered medium, making it very chewy. It was seasoned well though. Another person had the steak, cauliflower, and baked potato. The cauliflowers sauce was oddly sweet and the bernaise was overly buttery.

I highly recommend this place. Food was 10/10. There was only one waiter for all the tables, so you have to be patient. We tried the Icelandic Ribye, pork Bao,beef salad and tried the baked potatoes, edamames and crispy potatoes. We closed with a caramel salted shake. Everything was delicious and the quality was excepcional.
