Ahmad Dhani's restaurant, gallery and music museum inside a 1922 Dutch colonial building on Kemang Raya

Java Rock Restography opened on Jl. Kemang Raya No. 81 on February 6, 2026, founded by musician Ahmad Dhani inside a Dutch colonial-era building dating to 1922. The menu splits roughly evenly between Indonesian and Western dishes, but the building itself, restored rather than replaced, is as much the draw as the food.

A gallery and a small music museum share the space with the dining room, a format that trades some of the efficiency of a pure restaurant for the kind of destination pull a themed venue depends on. It is a five-star positioning within a heritage building rather than a conventional fine-dining room.
