Colonial-style cocktails where Viceroy Bali's Apéritif Bar used to be
Viceroy Bali swapped out its long-running Apéritif Bar for Pinstripe in April 2024, naming the new concept after the pattern tied to both tailoring and Prohibition-era drinking. It sits inside the resort in Petulu, north of central Ubud, with the same jungle-valley views Viceroy has always leaned on.
The drink list runs spirit-forward and classic rather than the fruit-and-soda style found at Viceroy's beach-facing sister bars. Most guests are staying at the resort already, but word about the cocktails has started pulling in outside visitors too.

My fiance and I loved this bar and the experience. The cocktails, cigars, atmosphere and the service from Bojes were all fantastic. He is really good at his craft and was a great time, we will definitely be coming back here the next time we are in Bali. Looking forward to another Bojes cocktail and cigar masterclass! Thank you for your hospitality

Visited in Jun 2026 Pinstripe is undoubtedly the most elegant bar I’ve visited in Bali. With some grand and spacious interiors, the bar’s decor is quite mesmerising. I did not have a reservation but the bar was quite empty as I had gone on a weekday. Took a bar counter seat and ended up trying 4-5 cocktails. The drinks were absolutely fantastic. The presentation of some of the drinks was also very innovative and beautiful. All in all, the combination of the quality of the cocktails, the beautiful interiors, and the live music made for a really good evening. The bar staff were very friendly and the service was top notch. I will definitely visit again the next time I am in Ubud. A 100% recommendation for cocktail lovers if you’re living in Ubud and want to try a chic cocktail place.

Definitely on the fine dining side which was a nice change. They have a cigar room where you can pick out some really nice options. The vibe is very old school cigar rum lounge. The service was amazing. The cocktails were all so interesting and yum! The food was fine dining portions but delicious and filling with a few plates. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a boujie bar trip.

This bar was a little difficult to find, it's at the Viceroy Resort, but it is DEFINITELY worth searching it out. The staff go above and beyond. The sunken bar area is very cool, amazing atmosphere both inside and out on the adjoining patio. Buy and smoke a nice cigar here too. We ordered a couple of appetizers and they were delicious and very reasonably priced for such an upscale resort.

Had a really great time at Pinstripe Bar ✨ I’m not really someone who drinks a lot of alcohol, so I decided to try the Pandan Martini and it was sooo good 🍸💚 Smooth, light, and very easy to enjoy. The pandan flavor made it feel unique and refreshing. The place itself is absolutely beautiful, classy, cozy, and perfect for a chill night out. They also have live jazz music every Friday and Saturday 🎷which makes the whole experience even more special. Overall, such a lovely place with great drinks, amazing ambience, and good music. Definitely would love to come back again🤍
