A speakeasy off Monkey Forest Road with no sign and no obvious door.

Whisper Cove opened quietly in December 2024 just off Monkey Forest Road, built as a speakeasy in the literal sense. No sign announces it from the street, no obvious entrance gives it away to anyone walking past. Within two years it had built enough of a following that more than one write-up called it Ubud's insider bar.

The cocktail list leans inventive rather than classic, built around ingredients and techniques you won't find on a standard bar menu elsewhere in town. Contact runs through WhatsApp instead of a booking system, in keeping with the low-visibility approach the whole place is built on.
