Cork's only comic shop, tucked in the lane by the English Market

Comics fans went two years without a dedicated shop in Cork before this one opened on Market Parade, the covered lane linking St Patrick's Street to the English Market. New issues, back issues, graphic novels and manga fill the shelves, plus bargain bins with €1 comics and €5 graphic novels.

Owner Alan Hurley draws comics himself, and it shows in the small-press and Irish creators' section. When the previous shop, Comic Vault, closed in 2023, this was the gap it left. Comic Vault's own account sent well wishes on opening day.

Good to know

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 6pm.
There are €1 back issues and €5 graphic novels in the bins if you are digging rather than shopping.

Greatt shop woth outstanding variety across many brands. You are able to biy and trade back for all fair prices. I perosnally enjoy their range of DC comics they have the old and new !

Popped in twice this week while visiting Cork. Found the staff on site extremely welcoming helpful and efficient. Shop was always busy with foot trade and the person working made sure to welcome every single person to the shop and thank them for coming in. On the second visit we'd some questions and he was a great help in our quest and left with a number of great titles under our arms great experience had by all. Will be back next time I'm in Cork

An extensive selection of western comics as well as a good amount of manga to choose from, this place is a go-to for people visiting Cork with an interest in these sort of things. The staff are not only professional, but also welcoming and kind to all customers - shoutout to Alan. Would 100% recommend.
