Ruby's 'lean luxury' hotel, named for Molly Malone
Skip the minibar and skip the fuss: Ruby strips rooms down to a big bed and a good shower, then spends the savings on design and the bar downstairs. Dublin's outpost sits on East Arran Street behind the old fruit and veg markets, just off Capel Street, and takes its name from Molly Malone, the fishmonger of the city's own anthem.
At 272 rooms, it landed as one of the biggest independent-brand openings Dublin had seen in years. The ground-floor bar plays up 19th-century market-hall charm with the brand's usual rock-and-roll streak.
Good to know
- Rooms are stripped to the essentials to keep rates down; the bar and communal spaces are where the personality lives.
- You're behind the Victorian fruit-market district, a two-minute walk from Capel Street's late-night strip.

Last week I traveled to Dublin with my best friend and our children. Our hotel was phenomenal and the staff was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel while traveling to Dublin. It’s in a great location. You can get to basically everything you need, just a walk away. And kitty and Joyce made the hotel stay easier and they were very welcoming.

Had a lovely stay here for 2 nights, both nights had evening drinks in the late bar. Patrick was second to none with his amazing cocktails and chatting away making us feel welcome. Will definitely be back and look forward to the chats and cool atmosphere the hotel gives!

Rooms are great and cozy. Beds are very comfy. Very clean hotel in a good location. My only issue is we are in a room by the door to the elevator(lifts) that slams. You can hear it slam every time. A upgrade to the hinge or some sort of door stopper would be great so you dont constantly here it but besides that highly recommended hotel. If you use Car Park Jervis Street. Pay at the booth you'll get a discount for staying at the local hotels. Saved about 20 dollars for a few days

Enjoyed our stay at the Ruby Molly. Our room was clean and we liked the modern feel of the hotel. The bed was super comfortable, and the big tv was set up so streaming via your own device is simple. Nice extra: we loved the products in the bathroom and the free coffee and tea in the hallway. Location was great as well, not too crowded neighbourhood but close to everything. Unfortunately, we did think the room felt a bit cramped and we also didn't like the self check-in which seemed a bit redundant since there was no line at the reception and the receptionist just stood there while we had to fill in the information, while still being the one that had to give us our key.

If you're heading to Dublin, you definitely have to stay at the Ruby Molly Hotel. It’s stylish, comfortable, and has an amazing vibe. The biggest highlight is definitely the staff. A huge thank you to Thiago, Danilo, Ulisses, and Luís, they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome right from the start. Exceptional service all around! The food is also fantastic. Everything I tried was delicious and high quality, making it super convenient to eat well right at the hotel. Great team, great food, and a great stay. I’ll definitely be back! 😊
