The raw seafood here comes with a twist: filtered seawater goes into both the cooking and the cocktails, a house concept the owners call Acqua di MHARE. Panzanella and other Mediterranean staples share the menu with the daily catch from Gulf fishermen.

Whitewashed walls, barrel vaults and a courtyard garden of citrus trees and bougainvillea set the scene, with cobalt blue cutting through the traditional white. Art rotates on the walls through PLAN X Gallery, so the room looks different depending on when you go.

Good to know

Ask for a table in the hidden garden if the citrus trees are in bloom.

We dined here last night. We had booked and warned the restaurant about my allergies. We were given a warm welcome when we arrived and led to a table in the garden. A fan was positioned by the table which really helped to keep us cool in very hot weather while we ate. The staff were all very attentive and helpful. We started with tuna, shrimp and a white fish tartare to share, delicious. Our next course was fried shrimp and cod for me and sea bass for my husband. Again very tasty. We finished with chocolate and pistachio desserts.

Highly recommend this restaurant! The food was top notch and it was only made better by the personal attention given by staff. They checked on us often but their visits never felt overbearing or intrusive. Our waiter, Carlo, was knowledgeable about the wine selection and was able to recommend something according to our taste and that paired well with the food. Instead of salt, they have a salt water infusion spray for the table which gives the seafood a unique flavor. Our group was seated outside and the atmosphere of the terrace was absolutely magical. 10/10 will return! ( we had the risotto and seafood tartare)

The exeperience was very nice, the hole place is like a garden well kept with a calm vibe. The staff was very professional and talkactive, they suggested some dishes that were very delicious.

Tito was amazing. Everything we ate was very good. Eggplant parm, ravioli and the sea bream Giuseppe is the best bartender in Capri. Espresso martini 10/10.

My husband and I stumbled across this place while walking through Capri on our honeymoon. The music and overall vibe pulled us in and they did not disappoint. Tito was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. All of his menu recommendations were amazing and Giuseppe made the best espresso martini! Highly recommend giving Mhare a try if you’re on Capri.
