Two bedrooms, 120 square meters, in Kanazawa's samurai quarter, built around water

An entire machiya to yourselves in Nagamachi, where earth walls and open canals still line the streets. The house runs about 120 square meters with two bedrooms, rented as a single unit, and water threads through the whole design along the Onosho canal system.

Ceramics and pieces by local artists fill the rooms, and you can book a pottery or jewelry session instead of just looking at the work. Kenrokuen Garden and the 21st Century Museum are both a walk away.
