Walk in for coffee, stay for the eyewear. BIOTOP's fourth store fills two floors of a stone fronted 1958 building in Edomachi, renovated rather than rebuilt, and the high ceilings and original columns split eating from shopping without a single wall.

Downstairs runs a cafe and restaurant with its own wine cellar, plus cosmetics, household goods and a takeaway counter for coffee and pastries. Upstairs holds apparel, jewellery and eyewear, with an event space that changes through the year. Sannomiya station is about ten minutes north.

Good to know

The ground-floor cafe does takeaway drinks and bakery items if you only want to look at the building.
Unlike the Tokyo and Osaka branches there is no separate plant shop here; the greenery is worked through both floors.
