Groovy Nuts Cafe

Nut butter ground while you wait

Fresh peanut butter tastes nothing like the jar stuff, and that's the whole pitch here. Groovy Nuts Cafe grinds its own nut butters in house and builds the toast menu around whatever comes out of the machine that day.

The neighborhood is offices and apartments, not sightseeing routes, so the room stays quiet. Bring a laptop for a slow morning.

What a fun spot!! Tucked away in the first floor of an office building this little cafe is a lovely little getaway from the summer heat! I got an iced americano and some mixed nuts which I was able to pick out and bag up myself! Very reasonably priced for a high quality product. The staff were friendly and made me feel relaxed and comfortable! I will definitely be coming back and will need to try out their loaded toast next time it looked delicious!

The shop is located on the first floor of an apartment building in front of Pacifico Yokohama. You order and pay at the counter first. I ordered the nut butter toast with vegetables and almond milk. For the toast, you could choose between Uchiki Bread and Pompadour. The toast was spread with incredibly rich almond butter and topped with plenty of vegetables. The rich almond butter was so thick that it was difficult to open my mouth with the first bite. Eating it with the salted vegetables paired well with the rich almond butter. I wondered if it would be enough, but I was very satisfied. The Japanese-patterned tableware was also lovely. Personally, I found the toast difficult to cut with a knife, so I should have asked them to cut it for me.

This cafe, run by Japan's first specialty nut shop, offers food, sweets, and drinks made with carefully selected nuts! It's a place where you can discover the new charms of nuts! I ordered the Nut Butter Toast Set (1070 yen) 🍴 You can choose between two types of toast, Uchiki Bread and Pompadour, and this time I chose Uchiki Bread! The nut butter has a rich, savory flavor, and the moderate acidity of the blueberry compote provides a well-balanced accent 😊 A simple yet highly satisfying dish that makes the most of the delicious ingredients! The nut smoothies are also recommended for health-conscious people, and the shop boasts an irresistible lineup for nut lovers!

This is a place where you can have a wonderful experience in Minato Mirai. Access: If you exit Minato Mirai Station and walk between the buildings, it's about a 4-5 minute walk to get there. I usually hang out and eat in Minato Mirai, but this place is a little further out, so I enjoyed a different atmosphere. The staff are all kind and very considerate. In a word, their attention to detail in beans is incredible! It's amazing how much the flavor and texture change depending on the origin and degree of roasting. The carrot cake and drinks available in the shop are also great. I recommend the almond butter as a souvenir! My 5-year-old son loved the almond butter and would spread it on simple homemade bread every morning. I'd definitely visit again.
