A 2,000-year-old Nabataean tomb, billed as the world's oldest bar

Come for the rock, not the recipe. The Cave Bar sits inside a genuine Nabataean tomb in Al-Khan, a caravanserai courtyard that predates the bar itself by roughly two thousand years, and the claim to be the oldest bar on earth holds up better than most.

Carved walls and an open courtyard do the heavy lifting. The drinks are standard hotel bar fare, run by the Crowne Plaza Resort Petra, so order simple and let the setting carry the night.
