OTTO cafe

Exposed brick, Western plates, a house turned cafe
Bare brick walls and a converted house set the scene for OTTO's Western dishes with fusion twists. It's the kind of spot that photographs itself before the food even arrives.
Taman Melodies has quietly become Johor Bahru's densest cafe cluster, near KSL Mall with Date Cafe just a few streets over. Parking is on the road and tight on weekends.

Food was decent. Fried cauliflower was nice. Pasta sauce tasty but the pasta itself didn’t have good texture ( no bounce in the pasta). Strawberry matcha used some sort of strawberry milk which was made the drink too sweet. The brown rice milk was actually quite nice! There’s a cool table with a water scene in the centre

We stumbled upon this cafe on Google Maps and decided to give it a try. Their food is incredibly tasty! I was a 1st time customer trying their kam heong pasta and it was absolutely savoury. Although we had to wait a bit for our dish, the staff offered us a complimentary acai bowl as a gesture of goodwill. They are incredibly friendly and thoughtful. The cosy and relaxing atmosphere also adds to the overall experience. They even have a weekday RM50 lunch set! We’ll definitely be back to explore more of their dishes. Other dishes we tried include Mum’s aglio olio, mushroom soup (which was very nutty and fragrant), cheese sticks (paired perfectly with the tomato sauce), an orange americano and an iced latte.

The ambience and food is really good here. We enjoyed most of our food and drinks, especially the fried cauliflower. The cafe is nicely renovated with a cosy vibe. Give the lamb ragu a skip if you’re not a big fan of the lamb skank taste.

We finally visited Otto cafe at! The cafe has a very unique and stylish concept with warm orange tones that make the whole place feel cozy and inviting. Every corner is beautifully decorated, so it’s definitely a nice spot for photos too. One small thing that confused us was the ordering system. We thought the QR code on the table was for placing orders but it actually only shows the menu. Turns out you need to call a waitress to take your order. Not a big issue, just something to know before you visit! As for the food, cafe prices in Johor Bahru are definitely on the higher side nowadays. However, the portions were generous, so at least you do get what you pay for. Most importantly, everything tasted good and suited our taste buds. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.

Really enjoyed the food here. The Kam Heong pasta was surprisingly good and flavourful, and the Summer Garden Salad was fresh and nicely balanced. I also had the iced matcha milk, which was smooth and not too sweet. Overall a nice place to chill, eat, and have a relaxing meal. Would come back again.
