Ponta do Ouro's first bar, still pouring the same R&R

Fernando's sits on the main road near the market. It's usually the first bar anyone visiting Ponta do Ouro gets taken to. The house drink is the R&R: rum and raspberry, poured strong and served in rounds that explain why so many road trips start here. Fernando built the bar's reputation over decades. He's since passed away, but the name and the routine stayed the same.

Plastic chairs, cold beer, grilled chicken on the side. Not a sit-down restaurant. Go early for a table with a view down the main road. By evening it's standing room only.
