Voorsit

Gluten-free food that doesn't feel like an afterthought
Voorsit sits on the corner of Gaus and Hage Geingob streets, near Purple Fig Bistro and The Fig Tree, in Grootfontein's town centre. The Afrikaans name means "sit forward." Their Facebook page keeps it simple: good food, ice-cold drinks.
The gluten-free menu goes further than most, with a tapas board whose fish cakes keep coming up in visitor reviews. Seating spreads into a courtyard too. Come for breakfast or stay for a full dinner.
Good to know
- Ask for the gluten-free menu, it's larger than most small-town spots bother with.
- The tapas board fish cakes get called out by name in reviews.

A small restaurant with a big heart, great service, food and beverages. Voorsit is a place to be when having a conference or meeting, nicely organised and quiet. I definitely recommend it👌

What a delight in a small Namibian town. Honestly we stumbled across Voorsit by accident - super little venue! Visit it! Well done!
