The lounge on Otjiwarongo's east side that keeps going after the kitchens close

Most restaurants in Otjiwarongo shut their kitchens by early evening. CABRITO keeps its lounge and bar open through the night, on the east side of town, past where the estate restaurants and hotel dining rooms wind down.

It turns up on local bar lists as one of the few places built around a night out rather than a meal stop. The kitchen runs alongside the lounge here, not the other way round, and a proper kitchen paired with an actual nightlife lounge isn't something you find often in a town this size.

Good to know

• It's set slightly out from the town centre on the east side, worth a short drive rather than a walk.
• Open daily until 22:00, later than most of the town's kitchens.
