Namibian art, now steps from the National Gallery

The Project Room's new address puts it within walking distance of the National Art Gallery of Namibia, finally closing the gap in Windhoek's tiny gallery circuit. It shows Namibian artists almost exclusively, and opening nights are the closest thing the city has to an art-world party.

Exhibitions rotate every few weeks. Check what's actually on before you go rather than assume the last show is still hanging at 5 Crohn Street.

  Exciting display of unique articles (belts, socks, bags, designed furniture etc made of many different materials such as leather, cotton/linden. Next door art at its finest. Definitely worthwhile a visit.
