Oscar Desemcafé holds Alkmaar's first location for a bakery chain already running in Haarlem, Heemstede and Bloemendaal, set on the Payglop. The shop doubles as a bakery and a café: bread and croissants to grab and go.
Or take a table and sit down for lunch, or just to get some work done over coffee.

When you find yourself roaming the deserted old center of Alkmaar at 7 a.m. on a Saturday morning, desperately searching for a drop of coffee… ☕️ And then — suddenly — you stumble upon a literal SOURDOUGH HEAVEN. 🥐✨ A croissant to die for, coffee that hits just right, and that magical feeling of discovering the perfect little spot when you least expect it. Bliss!😋

We had breakfast at Oscar twice. Everything was fresh and delicious—even the orange juice is freshly squeezed. The staff members are super friendly and nice.
