Brunch and vinyl by day, dancing by night

A DJ spins vinyl in the background while Loop51 runs through its brunch menu: buttermilk fried chicken and waffles, pancakes, vegetarian options. Then, on select nights once the kitchen slows down, the dance floor opens.

That's rare among Amsterdam's listening bars. Most give you the music and the food; few actually give you somewhere to dance.

A fantastic brunch: tons of choices, sweet, savory, sweet and savory, incredibly generous portions, and delicious. We tried the 8 All Around, the 10 The Bird, and the 13 Sweet Stack: the pancakes were fluffy and light, the best we've ever tasted, and the chicken was super crispy and perfectly spiced... A real treat! We definitely want to come back to try the rest of the options and menus! Update: We returned the next day for a takeaway brunch... still just as good! We'll be passing through Amsterdam again during our next vacation: I have a feeling we'll be back for another great brunch! ^^

We made a reservation for breakfast and I would say a reservation is needed as they get incredibly busy. Our waiter was incredibly nice, accommodating and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout the entire meal. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Every dish was fresh, flavorful and beautifully prepared the perfect combination of great service and an amazing dining experience! Loop51 is definitely a must visit. We had a wonderful time and will absolutely be back!
