Coffee and cake in an old school building in Noord

The name says it. AULA pours coffee in the old school on the Schoenerstraat in Noord, and the room still has the height and the light of the building it used to be.

The menu is short on purpose: coffee made properly and cake from the counter, in a part of Noord that had nowhere like it before. It opened in the middle of a coffee wave across the city, and it is one of the few from that wave worth cycling across the IJ for.
