Fresh pasta in a box, eaten upstairs or on the street
Desìo puts one thing on the counter: pasta made that morning, sauced to order, handed over in a box. No reservations, no waiters, just a fast Italian kitchen halfway down the Herestraat.
Upstairs there's a small room looking over the shopping street, where regulars sit rather than eat walking. Alongside the pasta there's schiacciata, the flat Tuscan bread split and filled, and a tiramisù in its own little tub for afterward.

Some of the best carbonara ive tried in a while and for me its definitely the best place to eat in Groningen. I got 2 of these boxes filled with al dente pasta and plently of guanciale and sauce

Had lunch at Desio today with my boyfriend. Such a cute spot! We had two amazing schiacciate, the flavor combinations were simple but delicious. And to top it off, the tiramisù was out of this world. The Italian owners are so kind and always smiling. We’ll definitely be back!

The best Italian food place in Groningen! I eat there every now and then, me and my family love the food. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is lovely and very helpful.

Loved this place! The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the prices were really good. The space is so cute too. They were incredibly kind and even gave me tiramisu to try 🥹 Such a lovely experience.
