Japanese dining à la carte, after 25 years of all you can eat

Twenty-five years of running an all you can eat sushi spot in Haren, and Jamie Leung-Lin and her husband CK decided to start over. They spent a year and a half hunting for the right room in the city and landed on the Oosterstraat, in the space PJ's used to occupy.

Yugo-San flips the old format: a written menu, plates that arrive when the kitchen sends them, fresh fish, good cuts of meat, wine and a shelf of sake. Same family, same three decades of practice, no conveyor belt.

We had a very pleasant evening! The staff was extremely friendly. We were seated in a cozy spot, but under a bright light. After mentioning this, it was immediately acknowledged and resolved. We were able to thoroughly enjoy the rolls and nigiri in a new spot, and the coffee friandise is highly recommended. We will definitely be back here!
