Interiors and design at the head of the Gierstraat

Right where the Gierstraat meets the Grote Houtstraat, the street stops being chain fronts and starts being independents. That's where Drifter opens, picking furniture and homeware piece by piece instead of buying whole collections.

The brand had already worked with HAY on a Haarlem project before landing this room of its own, fitting neatly into a decade-long shift on the Gierstraat: design shops and small labels moving in as the high street names move out.

Great service and really thoughtfully curated selection of brands and styles. Brands seemed to be primarily Nordic or local. Their house brand has really high quality sweaters in vibrant colors, which I was a big fan of. Highly recommend to stop by and find some gems.

An amazing shop with a very nice choice of brand and products. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The staff knows their products and advises you fairly, they do not push you to buy. I truly recommend you to go there and have a look. It is definitely my place to go when I go out for shopping.
