The room takes its cue from the family restaurants of 1980s Naples, and the kitchen follows. Handmade pasta, Neapolitan pizza out of the wood oven, antipasti to start.

The wine list stays in Campania. Order the carbonara, then plan on a long evening rather than a quick plate.

Favourite place in Den Haag for a dinner. The food looks as succulent as it tastes! Very authentic atmosphere as well and the service is excellent. Come a casa!

Surprise, surprise! I don't usually go to Italian restaurants because they rarely remind me of the authentic flavors of homemade Italian cooking. Since I pass by La Pappardella every day and live nearby, I was curious to try this newly opened restaurant. While some people may criticize the portion sizes or the prices, there is absolutely no question about the quality. Finally, an Italian restaurant that serves excellent food made with high-quality Italian ingredients, accompanied by fantastic service and reasonable waiting times. If you're looking for food that brings back the comforting taste of your grandmother's cooking, combined with genuine Italian hospitality, La Pappardella is the place to go. And stop complaining about the prices when you're getting this level of quality. Go, go, go to this restaurant! It's real Italian food served in a fantastic atmosphere.

I just found out about this restaurant, I am Italian and been living in Den Haag for a while now and I would say one of the most authentic places in town. The guy serving us was very nice and friendly. I’m definitely coming back, and recommending it to friends.
