Pizza and pasta in Firq worth the drive from Muscat

Olio sits in Firq, across from the Nizwa Club stadium, well south of the old town. It's a plain-looking spot with no coastline or heritage backdrop to lean on, so the food does the talking.

The pesto chicken pasta is the dish to order, with the tomato-basil soup as a strong opener. Weekend breakfast runs Thursday through Saturday mornings, if you'd rather come for that instead.

One of the best fine dining Italian experiences we had in Oman. 🍕🍝✨ We went for the vegetarian menu, and every single dish was amazing. The pasta was absolutely chef’s kiss, the pizzas were perfectly done, and the mocktails were just as impressive. Beautiful ambience, great service, and delicious food all around. If you’re looking for a memorable Italian meal in Oman, this one’s definitely worth it.

I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. I loved the cozy atmosphere, especially the dim lighting, which made the place feel warm and relaxing. The food definitely didn’t disappoint—it was delicious, and everything was well prepared. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant. The only things I think could be improved are the prices, which are a bit on the high side, and the toast, as it wasn’t as fresh as I expected and was a little chewy.

We found this restaurant after a search on google, and the first one that popped up was Olio. The food was flavourful, perfectly cooked and offered fresh ingredients. Mary and Ong provided us with amazing service and hospitality, which was appreciated after a long day of travel.

We were driving towards Jebel Akdahr and had our first lunch here. The service was excellent, my man ordered chicken burger and asked for double patty and it was easy. I had the brisket risotto and ordered a mango shake instead of mango-passion fruit and she delivered without hesitation. On our way back to Muscat via Nizwa, we decided to have lunch at the same restaurant. Highly recommended for food, aesthetics, cleanliness and welcoming ambiance.
