Drinks inside a 1921 governor's mansion turned hotel

Bar Fundadores sits in the restored colonial galleries and patios of the Gran Hotel del Paraguay, once the residence of the country's last Spanish governor. The old arches and courtyards are original, not rebuilt.

Expect live music, themed nights and longer hours on weekends. It's a way into the hotel's history without booking a room, and the calendar often lines up with corporate events next door.
