Real espresso in a village that ran on coca tea
Ollantaytambo used to mean instant coffee. Latente pulls actual espresso from beans grown down the valley near Quillabamba, and it's easily the best cup in town.
The room is small, just a few tables, a short walk from the ruins entrance. Go before the tour groups roll in.

Latente is a great specialty coffee spot with excellent beans. The fresh orange cold brew is a particular highlight, while a simple espresso really lets you appreciate the quality of the coffee. The atmosphere is very chill and cozy, although the interior is quite dark, so I’d probably choose somewhere else on a warm, sunny day. Don’t skip the cookies either—they’re definitely worth trying!

Super cozy little cafe, hidden in a small street. Spend a few hours here enjoying a coffee and chai and some sweets with my book. Service is super friendly. Great place to unwind for a bit.

Our tour guide took us here & she said it was the best coffee in town….she was absolutely right, amazing coffee & cakes served with a smile and set in a cosy little space, definitely worth a visit if you have time in Ollantaytambo 👌

We had nice lunch this afternoon. We went for a sandwich, coca leaves cookie and 2 coffees. Coffee was nice, not acidic as in other places. The room upstairs is really nice- minimalist with two windows seats which we liked. We recommend it.

Really cool atmosphere in this place. The coffee was good. I did get locked in the restroom due to a faulty lock. But the woman knew how to wield a butter knife to jimmy me out. Maybe they need to just fix the lock . Definitely a spot to check out if you are here.
