Afternoon tea in a foreign minister's old villa
Bergamot took over the Kiseleff 53 villa that once belonged to interwar foreign minister Grigore Gafencu, and split it properly: a restaurant with terrace downstairs, an adults-only teahouse upstairs, plus a gourmet shop and a library.
Afternoon tea is the whole point here, a genuinely British ritual on a boulevard of embassies and museums. Light lunches and refined snacks cover the rest of the day. Book ahead for the teahouse floor; the terrace you can just walk into.

Amazing place for an early brunch, a business meeting or just a nice corner for a coffee ☕️; places for 2 to 10 people group; fresh 💚 and tasty 🥰 ingredients - polite service; Wonderfully renovated architectural jewel 💎

Nice place. The villa is located close to Kisellef boulevard and it is well decorated creating quite a nice atmosphere. The service was good. We liked very much what we ordered: the Dover Sole Meunière with marsh samphire and the Grilled octopus. I would recommend a reservation in advance.

What a quaint and wonderful space. I love Bergamot so the name drew me here. A gorgeously designed space for eating, drinking, high tea and co working. Lovely sunshine in the mornings on the east side and great service. I had the eggs, salmon, asparagus and avocado with an earl grey mocktail and cappuccino. They let me walk around and that was lovely. The baked goods look amazing….thank you for feeding me!

A charming restaurant café in a beautiful house, with a stunning modern Victorian design — my favorite so far! Great coffee and delicious pastries.
