Apia goes quiet on Sunday mornings, but Cafe Cornwall doesn't. It's one of the few corners in town reliably pouring coffee and plating breakfast when everywhere else is shut.

The menu survived a refurbishment intact: pancakes and waffles alongside eggs and coffee. Venue hire and catering are on offer too, if a table for two isn't enough.

Good to know

• Weekdays 7am to 3pm, weekends 7:30am to 1pm, both shorter than most Apia cafes.
• Sunday morning is the one to know about, not every cafe in town opens that day.
