Saudi cooking from all five regions, inside a restored Al Balad house

Every dish on the menu is labeled by region, so a plate from Asir sits next to one from the Eastern Province instead of a single-region menu pretending it's the whole Kingdom. It's inside Al-Kutab, a restored building on Gold Street in Al Balad.

Heritage walkers use it as a quick edible history lesson. Locals treat it as the alternative to the coffee-and-pastry cafes that otherwise run the neighborhood.
